Ledbury Aikido is a not for profit organisation designed to promote Aikido as taught by Chiba Sensei.

Any funds generated will be used to help pay for things like Hall Hire, travel expenses and visiting instructor fees. If we generate sufficient funds we will look for more permanent premises, to create a dedicated Dojo in a traditional sense.

A Dojo in the traditional sense is a dedicated space in which to cultivate the Ways.

A Zen teacher was once asked to comment of the great amount of trade and ships going up and down a river in China, and celebrate the success this showed. What he said was; “I only see two ships.” “ What do you mean” came the reply, “there are thousands of ships”

“ I only see the ship of fame and the ship of gain”

Within the Dojo we move beyond either of these two ships, to what’s really important.
